Phillies signed Placido Polanco to start at 3rd

I was never a fan of Polanco when he played for Philly, but as long as he can produce as much as Feliz did its all good.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Where might outfielder Johnny Damon land if he and the Yankees can't get back together on a deal following New York's acquisition of Curtis Granderson? Here's one potential spot: San Francisco.

The Giants are looking to improve their offense and met this week with agent Scott Boras, who also represents third baseman Adrian Beltre, another potential fit with the Giants. Damon's bat certainly would compliment an ace rotation featuring Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain and Barry Zito well.

    Bring on Johnny clap

Red Sox trade Mikey Lowell for Maz Ramirez sad2

hate this trade with a passion, mikey has been the heart and soul of this team for the past 4 years and is still a great baseball player... he hit well last year despite injuries .290 AVG|17 HR|75 RBI

Rumor.... Adrian Beltre to boston puke

2 huuuuuge moves today. Phillies aquire ROy Halladay in a 3 team deal sending cliff lee to the mariners. I dont personally like this one for the phillies seeing how cliff lee is a great Left handed pitcher.ROy Halladay will be pretty scary in the NL though.

The Red Sox sign John Lackey to a 5 year deal. I am extremely satisfied with this. Beckett and Lester were in the leagues top 5 1-2 punches contending with Sabathia and Burnett, Lincecum and Cain, Carpenter and wainright, and now King Felix and Cliff lee. Now the red sox starting rotation is pretty scary good.
    Beckett
    Lackey
    Lester
    Dice-K(Hopefully returns to previous form)
    Bucholz or Wakefield

Now hopefully the red sox can get either Bay or Holliday to play outfield and a decent either 1st or 3rd baseman

Red sox are really close to signing mike Cameron. goodbye Jason Bay. Cameron is a decent addition but hopefully it means we can spend decent money on an infielder or wait till next offseason where ortiz contract is up, loweels contract is up and more and its a great free eagent class.

Rosenthal and Morosi suggest the signings of John Lackey and Mike Cameron give the Red Sox flexibility to trade Clay Buchholz and Jacoby Ellsbury, and the Padres would be tempted by the chance to acquire both for Gonzalez. The Sox are reluctant to make that deal. Still, getting Gonzalez at $10.25MM over two years would free up resources for other pursuits during that time.

Horrible idea. Adrian gonzales would be nice but im reluctand to give up either buchholz or ellsbury, never mind both
